Future Challenges

  • 1 hour 40 minute webcast

  • Live Q&A sessions with expert speakers

  • CPD accredited for 1 hour

This session features special presentations from two of the Abracadabra chairs. The first of these examines the changes in diabetes nursing over the last 20 years and the challenges for the future. This is followed by a presentation on one of the most significant recent challenges faced by diabetes nurses – the COVID-19 pandemic, and whether the upscaling of virtual clinics could have lasting impacts on everyday nursing practice. These presentations will be followed by a live Q&A session. You will then have the opportunity to join one of two breakout sessions, looking at either the progress of the Getting It Right First Time diabetes report or the assessment and management of major comorbidities associated with type 2 diabetes. Each breakout session will be followed by a further live Q&A.
